We recommend utilizing our St. Louis, Missouri shop, or one of our trusted partners across the country for your installation. Going this route will reduce your headaches and potential frustration, and give you the peace of mind knowing a trained pro is doing the work, and it is backed up by the warranty of the shop.

Installation from VIP

We are the original blackout experts, and are able to service your vehicle no matter your location. While our physical shop is located in Missouri, we offer full-service solutions to any location in the lower 48.

⚠️ DIY Installation (At Your Own Risk)

Our premium blackout kits give buyers access to the parts and fitment knowledge normally locked behind the walls of dealerships and restyling shops. Because of this, many owners feel empowered to perform their installations on their own. But this is not the route we recommend.

Most of our kits are part-only offerings. We do not include instructions on how to remove the existing parts from your vehicle, nor do we provide instructions for installing your new replacement part. A successful installation depends on understanding OEM parts diagrams, and the tools of the trade when it comes to automotive disassembly. If you have professional automotive experience you are at a big advantage, and this may be the right route for you.

But for the majority of buyers, a DIY installation is not the right choice. Limited knowledge may result in frustration or even damage to your vehicle. The difficulty of install varies by product, and some are much more intensive than others. For example, installation of roof rails requires dropping your headliner, and replacing certain window trim pieces requires drilling out rivets.
